Webb Simpson and Lee Westwood are set to make their season comebacks at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am event. A few days ago, both the golfers confirmed that they would take part in the forthcoming event that will take place from 4th February to 10th February at the Shore Course at Monterey Peninsula Country Club, Spyglass Hill and Pebble Beach Golf Links.
Westwood is currently sitting in the number seven position in world golf ranking.
The last time when he played in the Pro–Am was in the year 2005, though it didn’t go brilliantly as he ended up tying for 65th position, even though he had been named as one of the favourites by online betting firm Unibet! Fans backed him, but sadly he couldn’t quite produce the form he neede to on the day.
The English player, who had thirty five International wins and grabbed the world number one position in 2010, will make his 2013 season debut at Dubai Desert Classic that will take place from 31st January to 3rd February at Dubai’s Emirates Golf Club, before flying over for the Pro-Am.
2013 will be a good chance for Lee off the course as well as on it, as he launches his new golf Academies, allowing young golfers to get the Tour experience. The Lee Westwood Golf Tour and the Lee Westwood Golf Camps will start this year and have been designed to implement to offer young golf players the chance to benefit from some magnificent golf facilities as well as PGA professionals the United Kingdom has to offer.
This tour will have a series of golf tours which are build on a regional basis to offer young golf players an experience of how it feels to be in a top golf tournament. Young golf players who are willing to take part in this event have to be under 21 years of age.
