Dunlop Offers Westwood £2m Bonus

Lee Westwood has renewed his contract with Dunlop just ahead of the US PGA Championship 2016.

This time there is a special bonus on offer for Westwood from his major sponsor and it amounts to £2 million. This bonus will be Lee’s only if he lifts any of the four major PGA titles.

Westwood is currently in action in the US PGA Championship that is taking place at the Baltusrol Golf Club in New Jersey. He is playing alongside Brooks Koepa and Brandt Snedekar. The Ryder Cup master has so far not won a single major title in his career. This new bonus could give him the boost to strike gold at the PGA championship in the US.

Westwood is not in good form as far as PGA Tour Championships or Majors are concerned and this is a big worry for all his fans. He finished T43rd in the US PGA Championships last year played at Whistling Straits. Lee’s best finish at the PGA major event is a joint third place in 2009.

Worksop Town is celebrating Westwood’s new sponsorship deals by launching the new 2016/17 kits. These kits feature the logo of Westwood on the front side of the golf shirts. The club chairman Kev Keep saying that he was pretty happy that Lee has decided to be the shirt sponsor for Worksop Town for the third time running. He thanked Lee for putting more funds into the club and encouraging its members.

The club will surely be benefitted through this gesture from Westwood and his gesture is greeted with great warmth by the folks of his town. The Worksop Wonder will be bagging the huge sponsorship bonus from Dunlop if he wins the US PGA Championship trophy that ends this Sunday. All his supporters and hometown folks will also be rooting for him to win his first Majors Title this weekend in New Jersey.
